Meet The Team
At our nursery, we believe our staff are at the heart of everything we do. They are extremely important to both your child and to us and we ensure that they are caring, fun and highly experienced professionals who are qualified in early years childcare and education. Most important of all is that they truly love little people!
As a team, we all bring something different, creating a wonderful mix of skills, experiences and personalities which in turn brings diversity and richness to the care and learning we provide within the nursery.
We are committed to providing a caring, safe and secure environment where learning is fun and every child is valued and treated as an individual. We believe that each and every child is gifted in their own unique way and that with the right support and encouragement, they will reach their full potential and shine at different stages of their life.
For us, it doesn’t matter how slowly a child learns, what matters is that they are happy and inspired never to stop learning.
Lisa Smith -Admin support and Nursery assistant
Hi, my name is Lisa and I am a proud mum of two extremely busy and fun loving boys and I Live in Sandhurst with my partner.
I joined the nursery in February 2020 but before joining I completed the Bracknell and Wokingham College registration Ready Home Based Childcare award in 2019. It was during this time that I realised I wanted to work as part of a team and the natural next step was to become a nursery assistant, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I now have a wonderfully rewarding job working alongside like-minded colleagues, helping every child reach their full potential. Since joining the nursery I have also completed my First Aid training and level 2 Safeguarding. I love having fun in nursery with the children as every day brings something new. I especially enjoy being outdoors searching for bugs, spiders, snails and anything that creeps and crawls! (unlike some other staff, who prefer to run a mile when they see a spider especially Carol and Tash!)
Outside of nursery, my weekends are all about family and are spent with my boys and their many activities, they are constantly on the go, very much like nursery!
A few fun facts about me; my favourite number is 5, I have a huge passion for Winnie the Pooh and his friends and I like the stories written by Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffler, especially Room on The Broom, not that I resemble the witch!
Tanya Shroll – Nursery assistant
Hi, my name is Tanya and I am a mum to two teenagers and have lived in Sandhurst all my life, I even went to Sandhurst school as a youngster!
I previously worked at College Town School and joined Sandhurst Nursery part time in January 2024. I am First Aid trained. I particularly enjoy singing, dancing and story time with the children, these activities defiantly bring out their individual creativity and imagination.
Outside of nursery, I like to relax and pursue some of my hobbies such as adult colouring and diamond art.
My favourite colour is red and children’s book is Elmer.
Olena Dorozh – Nursery assistant
Hello, my name is Olena and I moved to the United Kingdom in late 2023 with my two children, while my husband had to remain behind. It was a particularly difficult time for us as a family, but joining the nursery in April 2024 gave me a sense of continuity and belonging.
Back in the Ukraine, I was a teacher for 15 years, so stepping into nursery life felt natural and I have really immersed myself into caring for the little ones who come to us. No two days are ever the same and I love being part of their early learning journey.
When I’m not in nursery, I enjoy exploring the countryside around me, reading and watching movies, all of which also helps me improve my English. I try to visit Ukraine to see my husband, family and friends whenever I can, although this isn’t always easy.
I love all bright, happy colours, but if I had to choose a favourite, it would probably be yellow.
Loreta Pasiliene – Nursery assistant
Hi, I’m Loreta and I live in Sandhurst with my partner and young son. I was born in Lithuania and moved to the U.K with my family 10 years ago. I have always worked in childcare, both in Lithuania and here and I truly love being around children and helping them grow and develop.
Over the years, I have gained a lot of experience in supporting young children and their learning. I speak Lithuanian, Polish, and Russian and last but not least English. These languages have been helpful in the past when communicating with parent and children whose first language isn’t English.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, having fun together and visiting home when I can.
My favourite colour is white and my favourite nursery rhyme is Incy, Wincy Spider.
Fawn Westwood – Nursery assistant
