Meet The Team
At our nursery, we believe our staff are at the heart of everything we do. They are extremely important to both your child and to us and we ensure that they are caring, fun and highly experienced professionals who are qualified in early years childcare and education. Most important of all is that they truly love little people!
As a team, we all bring something different, creating a wonderful mix of skills, experiences and personalities which in turn brings diversity and richness to the care and learning we provide within the nursery.
We are committed to providing a caring, safe and secure environment where learning is fun and every child is valued and treated as an individual. We believe that each and every child is gifted in their own unique way and that with the right support and encouragement, they will reach their full potential and shine at different stages of their life.
For us, it doesn’t matter how slowly a child learns, what matters is that they are happy and inspired never to stop learning.
Carol Giles - Early Years Manager
Hi, my name is Carol and I’m married with three grown-up children and two gorgeous grandchildren and I’m affectionately known as the dinosaur of the nursery (Nursery-asauras), not because I’m extinct, but because I’ve been in childcare for over 35 years and have seen it all!
I am a level 5 Early Years Practitioner and the Nursery Manager, Safeguard Lead and the nurseries Special Education Needs Co-Ordinator an area that I am particularly passionate about. I firmly believe that by providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment all children have the potential to thrive. I am also first aid trained and that’s just for starters!
My favourite children’s book is The Gruffalo (I can do all the voices!) and my favourite colour is purple, it brightens up any day and dinosaurs can be stylish too.
When I am not busy running the nursery, I love socialising, enjoying good company and spending precious time with my family and friends.
Elaine Sanders – Qualified Early Years Practitioner and Speech and Language lead
Hello, my name is Elaine and I live in Sandhurst with my husband and three grown up children, who are gradually fleeing the family nest! I also have three very excitable dogs that keep me on my toes it’s a bit like being in nursery!
I am a level 3 qualified childcare practitioner in early years for over 20 years. My passion for childcare began when my own children attended Sandhurst Nursery School all those years ago! Seeing how happy and confident they were at nursery inspired me to follow a career in early years education. Over the years I have developed a special interest in supporting children’s speech and language development, helping them to find their voices and grow in confidence as they play and learn.
My favourite colour is blue and my favourite book to share with the children is Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell, it’s always such fun to make the animal sounds together and see the excitement as the children guess what’s coming next.
Amanda Strudwick – Qualified Early Years Practitioner
Hi I’m Mandie and am a proud mum of two and a nanny to four wonderful grandchildren and live with my husband in Camberley.

I am also First Aid trained and have completed my level 3 Safeguarding alongside many other childcare courses too many to mention. I am extremely passionate about working with children and helping them learn through play. Every day is different, which makes the job so rewarding! I really enjoy messy play, puzzles and chatting to the children, some of the things they say never fail to make me smile.
At the weekend, I love spending time with my grandchildren, exploring new places and generally having fun together.
Some of my favourite things are, singing Little Peter Rabbit with the children reading The Tiger who came to Tea and the colours pink and baby blue!
