Welcome To Our Nursery
We are a well-established nursery, proudly providing high quality early years education since 1994 for children aged 2 to 5 years. With decades of experience nurturing young learners, we have built a strong reputation for offering a caring, stimulating and safe environment where every child can thrive.
In 2021 we moved to our beautiful current site, giving us the opportunity to enhance our facilities and continue delivering the same excellent standards of care and education that families have trusted for years
Why Choose Us
We understand that choosing the right nursery for your child can be challenging and sometimes a little daunting, with so many factors to consider. At our nursery, we want to make that choice as easy as possible by providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children can play, learn and most importantly have fun!
We are deeply committed to improving the outcomes for every child, recognising that each child is unique with their own strengths, interests and needs. By working closely with parents and carers, we build strong supportive relationships to ensure that each child receives the very best start in life.
Family involvement is at the heart of everything we do and we actively encourage parents and carers to be part of our nursery life, celebrating milestones together and creating a true sense of community. Together, we can nurture confident, happy and curious learners, ready for all the adventures that lay ahead for them.
Ethos and Values
At our nursery, we are passionate about creating a truly immersive and individual learning experience for every child. By combining the principles of the Forest School approach with the Curiosity Approach, we provide an environment where children can explore, question and learn in ways that inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Through Forest School, we place a strong emphasis on learning in the natural world, giving the children the freedom to explore and develop a deep appreciation for nature. Hands on experiential learning opportunities nurture independence, confidence and self-esteem as children discover the world around them at their own pace.
Alongside this, the Curiosity Approach encourages children to follow their individual interests, devoting time and space to explore their unique passions. Set within our rich natural environment, this approach fuels curiosity, creativity and problem solving while providing sensory rich experiences that deepen the children’s understanding of the world.
Together, these approaches ensure that every child is supported to grow into a confident, independent and enthusiastic lifelong learner.

Sandhurst Nursery, have you heard of this place?
A sweet little school with a bright green gate.
A place where children play and learn with a smile on their face.
A place where nurturing is key and happiness lives abundantly.
Hey, if you walk past there you will soon hear.
Giggles and laughter, counting 123, singing songs and dancing under the tree.
Making mud pies in the outside kitchen, kicking balls or running like dinosaurs – roar!
Sliding, painting, finding new things, riding bikes – you name it!
They’ve got it all!
Hey, if you walk past there you will soon see.
The encouraging teachers warm with smiles, always helping gleefully with every child. Patience, gentleness and fairness they educate.
Guiding each child to navigate.
This little group is not just a team, but a well-organized hard working machine!
Always ready steady to win the race of the most adventurous place.
Hey, so if you walk past there, just remember that little green gate.
With busy hands and running feet and big smiles on top of their teeth.
At the end of the day my little one comes home with a curious mind and happy heart and it’s thanks to this wonderful start.
Sandhurst Nursery have you heard of this place? Yes I have, oh what a wonderful place.

A parent of Sandhurst Nursery.
Since attending his confidence, communication and social skills have all improved greatly.
My favourite thing about this nursery is every child is treated as an individual and staff go above and beyond to make sure their needs are met.
It is a lovely feeling when I see my little boy run into nursery excited every morning and even better that I know he will be safe and cared for by the amazing team that work there.
William’s Mummy.
This was the first and only nursery we visited as I knew instantly this was the one for my daughter. She was extremely shy and very nervous about starting as she’d never been to nursery before, but the teachers were very caring and patient and over time helped her settle in and feel happy. She has become very confident and now loves going in every day!
Every teacher here is lovely and can’t do enough with the children. I am so proud how my daughter has developed since she started at the nursery and that is thanks to the team.
I will defiantly be sending my next child here, it has been the best start I could have wished for my daughter, she always has fun and I know she is well looked after by the caring team.
Erin’s mummy.
Sandhurst Nursery has been the best start for my children. They have loved going to nursery and this is due to the caring and nurturing (and heaps of fun!) provided by all the teachers. My children love the teachers and also look forward to nursery. What more could a parent ask for!
Since starting at Sandhurst Nursery we have noticed real positive changes in Molly-Rose. She has really grown in confidence and flourished under their care and guidance. She looks forward to nursery and skips in without so much as a backward glance.
We could not be more satisfied with everyone at Sandhurst Nursery who have been so helpful and accommodating when we have had to juggle tricky work schedules from time to time.
Highly recommend to all prospective parents.
Mollie-Rose’s mum.

I am in Sandhurst Nursery School
I was not built to sit still,
keep my hands to myself,
take turns,
be patient,
stand in line,
or keep quiet all of the time.
I need: motion, novelty, adventure
and to engage in the world with my whole body.
