Sandhurst Nursery School
Sandhurst Nursery School is a friendly well-established independent nursery school that was set up in 1994 to provide nursery education and childcare for children aged 2 years old and over within Sandhurst and the surrounding areas. The nursery relocated to its present site at The Spot, Owlsmoor Road in Sandhurst Berkshire in 2014. The Nursery is registered with Bracknell Forest Borough Council and inspected by Ofsted and in our latest Ofsted report of October 2016 we were rated GOOD across all areas.

Sandhurst Nursery School understand that working with children is a skilled and demanding role. The nursery team is experienced in providing good quality childcare and this in turn helps us deliver a top quality service to accommodate your child’s needs.
Ethos and Values
At Sandhurst Nursery School we believe that by blending the Forest School with the Curiosity Approach we can create a truly immersive and individual learning experience for all children. The Forest School approach emphasises the benefits of learning in a natural environment, facilitating exploration and fostering a deep appreciation for the natural world. It encourages hands-on experimental learning, emphasises independence, confidence and self -esteem. By pairing this with the Curiosity Approach that devotes time to exploring children’s specific interests, creates a hybrid approach that is both engaging and stimulating to young children. Set within the natural environment the nursery provides ample opportunities for the children to delve deeper into their individual interests, promoting a more in-depth understanding and fostering a lifelong love of learning. The curiosity ignited by their individual interests is fuelled by the rich, sensory experiences offered by the natural environment.

The Nursery aims to cater for ALL parents’ needs. We offer a standard term time length 38 weeks per year. If you require any more information or have any other questions relating to term times then please contact us.

Since attending his confidence, communication and social skills have all improved greatly.
My favourite thing about this nursery is every child is treated as an individual and staff go above and beyond to make sure their needs are met.
It is a lovely feeling when I see my little boy run into nursery excited every morning and even better that I know he will be safe and cared for by the amazing team that work there.
William’s Mummy.
This was the first and only nursery we visited as I knew instantly this was the one for my daughter. She was extremely shy and very nervous about starting as she’d never been to nursery before, but the teachers were very caring and patient and over time helped her settle in and feel happy. She has become very confident and now loves going in every day!
Every teacher here is lovely and can’t do enough with the children. I am so proud how my daughter has developed since she started at the nursery and that is thanks to the team.
I will defiantly be sending my next child here, it has been the best start I could have wished for my daughter, she always has fun and I know she is well looked after by the caring team.
Erin’s mummy.
Sandhurst Nursery has been the best start for my children. They have loved going to nursery and this is due to the caring and nurturing (and heaps of fun!) provided by all the teachers. My children love the teachers and also look forward to nursery. What more could a parent ask for!
Since starting at Sandhurst Nursery we have noticed real positive changes in Molly-Rose. She has really grown in confidence and flourished under their care and guidance. She looks forward to nursery and skips in without so much as a backward glance.
We could not be more satisfied with everyone at Sandhurst Nursery who have been so helpful and accommodating when we have had to juggle tricky work schedules from time to time.
Highly recommend to all prospective parents.
Mollie-Rose’s mum.

I am in Sandhurst Nursery School
I was not built to sit still,
keep my hands to myself,
take turns,
be patient,
stand in line,
or keep quiet all of the time.
I need: motion, novelty, adventure
and to engage in the world with my whole body.
Let me play
(trust me, I’m learning)
